Ah!! i noticed that too! i thought i was the only one. I've seen almost everything he's ever been in (he's SO talented)
and i'm accustomed (yet not quite used to) his oddly deep (yet sexy) voice.
then just this past week i was watching him on CSI:Miami, and usually his voice gives him away as soon as he talks but this time i thought something was wrong
with my hearing. you're right, his voice sounded WAY softer than it usually does. i had to stare at him for a while to make sure it was him.(his big
beautiful eyes made me realized it was really him )
usually his voice is kind of a raspy growl *giggles* i think his voice on CSI:Miami is the softest or 'highest' i've ever heard it (the deepest i've ever heard it was on Law and Order:SVU *shivers* now THAT time he really scared me) so comments people: what do you thinks going on here? you think maybe he can alter the pitch of his voice on his own, or is it something else? on a little sidenote: i have to add that i also saw him on another tv show 'Angel' where he guessed started as this hot stud *hehehe* and his voice was similar to how its sounded recently (keep in mind this was around 1999 or 2000) then sometime after that is when he obtained his trademark deep/gritty voice. Rumor has it that he was a heavy smoker for a while and thats why his voice was so deep. anyone agree? disagree? man i wish he did
more interviews so he could set the record straight. . ..

Well, just my 2 cents, but I'm sure he can change his voice for a role, depending on what kind of character he is and what he wants to project. I don't
know though if it was intentional or not for his latest guest part on CSI: Miami...
Yes, it is too bad that there aren't that many interviews with Johnny out there, at least that are posted online... |
